Eric Gordon "steals the show" at MSU's Pro Day
So he's only 5'11", 225lbs.... but the kid is fast and explosive. I see Special team and back up OLB written all over this kid... and we all know our coverage (though improved) unit could use a bit more talent.
Gordon, a four-year starter for the Spartans, stole the show.
He posted a remarkable 40.5-inch vertical jump.
He benched pressed 225 pounds 25 times.
He ran the 40-yard dash under 4.6 seconds twice (4.57, 4.55).
He ran the 60-yard shuttle drill in an impressive 11.3 seconds
He also showed well in the position drills.
"I really needed to test well here," said Gordon, who was not invited to the Combine in Indianapolis. "This was my opportunity to go out and show what I can do. I think I did pretty good, but I know I can do better."

He could be a real solid developmental prospect.
Certainly seems to have the explosiveness for ST and has the range we need at OLB (probably WLB). Depending on if we keep Follet, Isiah, and Palmer – we have some real ST aces on ST. We also have Campbell to keep in mind, as he’s faster than Gordon and has been developing in our system for a year now…so if it means either keeping Caleb and not taking Gordon (or visa versa), I may be apt to keep Caleb.
"His lateral agility is unprecedented. Reports claim he has literally been seen in two places at once."- Mav
he'd definately be a hometown favorite
the TC area is a MSU haven, with several of the local TV stations dominated by MSU alum’s. The coverage would be huge and the fanbase for the Lions in Northern Michigan would explode. I watched Gordon in high school, and he has developed nicely at State. I think he’ll be available as an UFA though. I’d rather keep Caleb who has been in the system and could play safety if absolutely needed (did it at Army).

I like him. He shows and alot of heart an instincts for the game
two quailities that should not be over looked.
This is the Motor City. And this is what we do...
P.C.P ... Now with a Richer, and Bolder flavor
So he had a good workout
I don’t follow MSU whats he like on gameday?

he's MSU's second best LB behind Greg Jones started every game since sophmore year (I think)
decent pass rusher, decent in coverage, doesn’t miss a lot of tackles covers ground well, he doesnt steal the show but also doesnt make many mistakes
I’ve seen a lot of MSU football… but i am by no means a scout

6-7 rounder...
Bottom end of the roster.
Motown313-"spending a first rounder on the next Jared Devries doesn’t seem like a good gameplan."
I'm of the opinion that the Lions will be moving around in the draft...
therefore picking up at least 1 7th round pick.

Undrafted then...
Doesn’t matter to me.

+1 Mavryk
I wanted to say that but you beat me to it.
COP:"Do you know why I pulled you over Mr. Dunn ?" ME:" Was I speeding officer?" COP:"A lil bit, but I really wanted to see a SORRY ASS DETROIT LIONS FAN UP CLOSE!" He gave me a ticket for 50 in a 45 zone. So I ask him his team. COP: DA BEARS HAHAAHAHAA
I think he'd be a steal...
in the 7th. The kid has football instincts. He’s always in the play. He has what Ernie Sims lacked. I’m gonna be pissed if someone grabs him as a UFA. I was pissed last year when Indy picked up Blair White. Blair White has drive and football instincts. Those are things you CAN’T teach. NFL guys call them the “intangibles”
I went to MSU
and I watched this guy a lot. He was everywhere, a total tackling machine. I’ll admit, I was surprised by his athleticism, but the guy is a worker and a leader. He always reminded me of James Farrior on the Steelers – solid guy who knows the game, never misses an assignment, and leads by example. He’d be a good guy to have on any team, in my opinion.
