It was just announced that RB Michael Bush of Oakland was tendered with the highest restricted Free Agent tenders.
The tender by Oakland means that anyone signing Bush must give up a first and third round pick, and probably a wagon load of cash too [+$3.2 Million for one year]. There is the possibility that the new CBA will change that or that the Lions could negotiate a different compensation with Oakland in a trade, but I don't know that there is the inclination or will by Mayhew to do so. I rather doubt it.
Too bad, as I thought that Bush's power running and blocking ability were a great fit for the Lions. NEXT!
