We all know the Detroit Lions had a slow start to the 2010 season. They're biggest problem as the season wore on was not being competitive, but not knowing how to win, especially in the 4th quarter. Crushing deafeat after another (ahhh!! the jets game just makes me mad to even think about)the young Lions learned from each loss and ended the season on a 4 game winning streak. I believe the Heat are in the same boat. This past week the Heat have played in multiple nail-biters where they came up just a bit short, except for that dismal loss to the Spurs. That said, they still haven't found how to distribute the ball between D-Wade and LeBron down the stretch in the 4th quarter (leading to a league worst 6.3% from the field on game tying or winning shots). But just like the Lions, I believe the Heat are learning from each loss and will finish the season strong and carry it into the playoffs. Hopefully our Lions can do the same next year. I know this doesn't matter at all to the Lions or their fans for that matter, but I noticed the connection today after the Heat's loss to the Bulls and I thought I'd write about it. :)
