Just thought I would let you all know, that Bowers took a big hit at the medical combine. Several NFL sources are reporting swelling in the knee, possible surgery, and perhaps the most damning of all, arthritis. While you have to take anything you hear at this time with a grain of salt, I think the sheer number of reports from various sources reporting on this leads me to believe that where there is smoke there is fire. This is not like the situation last year where a single scout claimed that Jahvid Best had a lingering stinger issue after his head plant in the end zone. I first heard about Bowers bad medical via NFL Network Total Access and I will link some other sources below via "the Google" just so you all can see it is verified.
So it is a bit hard to sift through all of this, you have many conflicting reports and stories. Is someone smoke screening to try and get him to fall to them in the draft? I am not sure but one thing I do know is that his draft stock will fall as a result of all the bad medical publicity. It is one of those it is too risky if it is true scenarios. I feel real bad for the guy, he was almost for sure a top 10 pick before all this medical stuff came up, and now he will be lucky to go in the first round at all. If you happened to read any of those stories you will also notice that the last one also mentions some concerns with Tyron Smith's knee over swelling. Something to think about and look into for all the Tyron Smith lovers of the mock draft world.
