We interrupt our 2011 NFL Draft coverage to bring you some great news involving a player already on the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Matthew Stafford said on Twitter today that he not only worked out with Calvin Johnson and Chad Ochocinco, but he also threw passes to them. Here is the tweet:

Stafford has seemingly been progressing nicely this offseason since having shoulder surgery. The fact that he is now getting to throw passes to Calvin Johnson is very good to hear. Stafford and Johnson need to be on the same page next season, and with organized team activities not taking place, it's important for them to work out together on their own. Clearly both of them realize this, and having another big-time WR in Ochocinco there to throw passes to can't hurt either.
