A Stockbrokers Guide To The Draft

I asked my stockbroker, Soul Goldpicker the other day, to give his view on who the lions should draft
this year. This was his reply. SG- ";It's all about trends. Teams are looking at what the lions did last year with thier D-line, and there is alot of talent for the D-line in this years draft. In the stock world, when people start jumping on your train, it's time to find another investment. Well with all the influx of talent, d-lines are going to be better. So to stay ahead of the game, you better have a good o-line. Considering the time it takes to develope. I would invest in the o-line now. When I look at the o-line, the first thing that strikes me is an ugly center. He can't run block, and he can't hold the point of attack, causing major problems. .He gets pushed back on passing plays, resulting in. no pocket to step into, causing sacks, shutting down passing lanes and less time to hit his recievers. No running game means, play action dose not work and defenses can key in on you.Now if you clean this up, it will be like money in the bank. The 2nd thing I see is that you had to play a guard that was hurt last year. That means you need a guard and center for depth. Oh, an development ot too". Enough already I said. Just give me the picks.

SG-" All right Suh. 1. Pouncey 2. Wisniewski 5. Mims ,that should take care of the o-line and give us good depth.Since we fixed the o-line lets give them some toys to excel. 3 wr gates and 4 how about a runnig back." WHAT, SOUL WE NEED LBS! I said. SG-"Calm down boy, thats what FA is for. Tenn. has that mlb, who knows the system. He would also give us depth at mlb. And theres that olb, Lawson. That should take care of the lb problem." Soul, the stats say we need a cb. SG-"Your still a little frosty there Suh, I'd tell you to chill, but that dose not sound right. Ah Wade/Bown vrs stats. Lets cut our losses and throw out the games they played in, then look at the stats. Resign Houston, Cause you can't fix everything. The flip side is, with the extra playing time the cbs should develope faster. You build for the future, the o-line may not bring much earnings this year, but next year you will reap the rewards. You still have a 7th rd. pick and maybe a trade down for poncey to move around the boards or grab an extra pick. You may find a gem." Well there you go guys. What do you think? Was he on the money?
