You know I was thinking...
It was good to hear the fans give it to Goodell during the draft last night - I almost wish they hadn't stopped, and maybe caused the draft to start late ... like the season might.
He's the guy that's been elected to lead the league, and it is still so shameful they can't come to an agreement with so much money on the table. I'm sure it made the owners a little more comfortable knowing the fans are still out here supporting their franchises, while they're having trouble with the product and locked out the players.
I thought it was classy during the military acknowledgement, but couldn't help but feel a little disgust watching Goodell go down the line shaking hands with the veterans.
I would venture to guess he has made way more money working for the NFL than any of those honorees and it would seem hard to look them in the eye with as much as they've sacrificed during the NFL's labor crisis. If those veterans are fans of the game, honor them by getting the sides to agree on how to split up their millions and make sure the league stays on track.
I know Goodell's sacrificed as he now making a $1, but luckily he had a high paying gig before he had to take such a drastic pay cut.
So good going fans, thanks for sticking up for us who did not attend. I just wish you had kept booing him because while I love me some NFL, I want to see him get this resolved.
