The NFL has a contingency plan in place to shorten the season to 8 games...

This news is all over the web...all you have to do is Google it and you'll find it. This is really starting to piss me off. Of course the NFL would go through a long and drawn out labor dispute in the year that THE LIONS are likely to be one of the best teams in the league (note...I do not think there is any big conspiracy, but GD IT!!). I REALLY wish there were some GOOD news to come out about the lockout, because I am REALLY starting to get nervous about this coming season. Not only does it irk me that there may be a shortened season, but think about the preparation of our players and the acclimation of our rookies too! To top it all off, say the Lions ARE one of the best teams in the NFL this season...now all of a sudden all we hear is that it wasn't a full season and that it was a fluke etc etc. I have been here every day...waiting to hear something GOOD in light of the situation, but as I am sure you all are as well, I am one very frustrated football fan.

I read somewhere that the schedule

does not have a single divisional game in week 4 or something like that. Something that has never happened in the history of the NFL.

The writer basically said, that week was a toss away week.

The owners have plans for sure. Do I blame them? Nope. Does it make me feel any better? hell no.
