Over the last few years, a number of Detroit Lions players have appeared in commercials. Matthew Stafford has been in one for AXE Hair; Calvin Johnson has appeared in one for Acura; and Ndamukong Suh has been in a spot for Nike and Chrysler (Suh also is involved with Subway).
The latest Lions player to appear in a commercial is 2011 first-round draft pick Nick Fairley. He is in a spot for Armor All with NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. The commercial revolves around Fairley needing a celebration dance and getting help from Stewart, and all in all it's quite, well, odd. Take a look:
No offense intended to Fairley, but this is not exactly the greatest commercial in the world. I'm not sure who thought it would be a good idea to pair Fairley with a NASCAR driver for his first commercial, but it's just not a very good fit.
(Side note: Thanks for the heads up to the four or five of you who either posted this in the comments or sent it to me.)
