I haven't posted in quite a while but I thought this would be worthy. I know guys are skeptical on here about people dropping names and anecdotes of people "they" or a "friend" know.....but nonetheless I am going to do it. I have had the pleasure to be friends with a bunch of guys that have played high level college ball at 2 major college football programs. One in California where I reside and one in Florida. The reason I tell you all of this is to get your REALLY excited about Titus Young.
While I was watching some speed training of a bunch of guys getting ready for the league I realized there were a bunch of Boise State players in attendance. So I asked them about Titus and their eyes lit up. The speed coach, who was at the Boise State pro day, came walking over and said that Titus had the worst 40 form he had ever seen and it was a miracle that he ran a 4.39. I have seen what this coach did for my friend with just form and coaching and asked him what he thought his playing speed was. He said NO DOUBT 4.32 if not faster and all the Boise guys agreed without hesitation. They said it was a joke that guys were questioning his speed and we would all see it when he got on the field. Apparently pads don't slow him down much at all and his initial burst is amazing.
And on top of all of this they said that his hands and body control are WITHOUT question better than both Wallace's and Jackson's. So you heard it here first.........another "break" that the Lions have received post "curse" and I think we are all going to really appreciate this one on Sunday. Hope this insight is as exciting to you as it was to me.
