LB Paul Posluszny?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AhalGa9bHZ6o7gussVoifhFDubYF?slug=ap-bills-posluszny
I am a fan of Posluszny personally because he has KILLED for me in fantasy football the last couple of years. He's production city and I think, behind our D-line and next to Levy, he can shine big. What do you guys think? The Lions should definitely go after him if he truly tests the market. This season has me pumped, and I know it's going to be topsy turvy with how the lockout has affected the offseason. Let's get ready, Lions fans. It could be a great year.

damn
I love big Paul
"I’d probably get arrested because football’s my only time I get to go out there and hit people as hard as I can, and it’s legal," Follett said. "I need that once a year."
No playing behind Buffalos line hurt him.
I really didnt think we had a chance at Posluzsny truth be told figured we had a better chance of signing Aso.
But i think its safe to say he will be leaving the Bills and i dont blame him. As much as i want Joseph i would trade him in a heart beat for Paul.
I think he is the best FA on the market and i hope that Mayhew and Jim got a plan of getting someone at his door when FA kicks off. He is perfect for the scheme and i dont see injuries being a problem once he is here.

Maybe we can finely turn the page on pain train. After what he said about Stafford I lost all respect for him.

oh come on
The Dis-Assembly Line - The unofficial, official name for the next best D-line in football.
We all know if pain train has a breakout year we will all be pumped.

Theirs a thin line between love and hate
After he disrespected the franchise QB I cant support him. I wish his career the best , but not in Detroit. Look what happen to Randy Moss last season when he didn’t know when to shut his mouth.Any first class organization will not tolerate that.

You are something man ...
After replying respectfully in ur thread specific to it .. I have to reconsider and join enforcer ..
You said you weren’t here when this went down.. and also said sorry and you weren’t trying to start anything .. Now here, you are doing the exact opposite my friend ..
If anything, Follet has contributed as much as Staff so far for a lot less money .. he is a fan favorite here .. and so is Staff .. Everyone here loves them both ..
So I doubt you are going to get anywhere with this ..
I wont go that far Libran
I like the pain train a lot and yeah the comment from Zack wasn’t too cool but its all been played out already. However, I still have question marks regarding Staff. I have a 20 dollar bet (yeah last of the big spenders) on the outcome of the season as far as our record is concerned. I stipulated in the bet pick 2 outcomes for our record this year one with Stafford and one without for when he gets hurt which honestly I think will occur.
My reasoning is as follows, first he hasn’t shown us he can stay healthy thus far. Secondly, did you see the pictures of him from July 4th, he looks pudgy like he hasn’t been working out. Looks to me he’s been lifting 12 oz’s at a time vs getting his body prepared for a grueling season.
Therefore not all of us are sold on Staff yet until he can prove to us he can finish a full season. I know there are more than just myself who feel this way also. Just my opinion guys so no need for hate mail…….lol. I do hope he works out for us but as I said he hasn’t proven anything to me yet except he can ride the pine and collect a check.

Other than a few guys on here
Who is really a Follet fan? And how has he really contributed so far? ST’s ? You really call that contributing? Well I guess these’s a nut for every squirrel. I can’t really say I dislike Follet but I really can’t say I’m a fan of his either.
How many lumps you want Doc?
Actually Follet has contributed
Follet has played in 17 games, 2 in which he started before getting injured. Granted in those 2 seasons he was primarily a ST’s player but hey contribution is contribution however you look at it.
Staff on the otherhand has played in 13 games in the same time frame starting all 13 games. His rookie year his rating was gaudy at best but his supporting cast wasn’t great so I attribute his numbers to that and the speed of the NFL. His second year he looked good in the measily 3 games he’s played but I don’t care how good you are your useless to us if your never on the field.
Mulbach our long snapper isn’t that important if we use your logic. Football is a team sport and no matter how small the contribution its the contribution that wins us games. I like Staff but I am concerned with him staying healthy as I’m sure a lot of us are.

Actually ..
Follet had progressed quite well .. He did get burned some .. but if not for his injury, he would have gotten even better ..
Staff is the real deal .. but it only matters when he can stay on the field .. Staff is a 1st overall pick and Follet was ? SO actually, follet has done better and Staff has done worse ..
I like them both .. Just that the china doll is a non topic .. and imo, both staff and follet are past it .. just someone here who wants to rile some feathers ..
He's contributed in many ways and as you can guess im a huge fan
not just playing on the field, but also going on espn and talking about the lions..he’s an exciting player to watch. Sure he’s raw, he was a 7th round pick for cripes sake but he plays as hard as anyone on that field and he deserves to keep the job he’s earned here in Detroit

Hey....
Matt Stafford’s a china doll… until he proves otherwise.
Pain Train was stating the obvious and hopefully it was taken by Stafford as motivation to get stronger.
Buck up, Nancy… you have to have tougher skin than that to play Franchise QB in the NFL… just ask Joey “I play the Piano, but have no balls” Harrington. Chewed up and spit out because he started believing everyone except himself.

oh please..
he didn’t say anything that bad, people’s feelings get hurt too easily now a days

lion (pride)
the pain train has this (Pride) not money. To me thats a team player
I like him
but dude said that his preference is to stay in Buffalo, which indicates to me that he’ll only leave if he gets a big payday, and I’m guessing that we wouldn’t be able to give him said big payday and re-sign Avril, so I’m gonna pass. Dude is a low-key beast though, so if we figured out some way to make it work I’d be happy.
I agree
on the money,,but if the price is right, bring on Paul

next jp
the front office know who they wont. …..We now who we wont but thats the cubs lol not the lions the got a good front office for one………
I'd like him, but as others have said, he may be looking for a big contract
I don’t know if we have that in us.
Posluszny
Is a fantasy beast. He is the defensive equivalent to Michael Turner, or a second tier QB.
"Never underestimate the power of the Schwartz..."
"I see your Schwartz is as big as mine..."
"May the Schwartz be with you..."
"Liquid Schwartz!!!"
He plays the 3-4
Not sure what he’s better suited for..
Pos
An elite LB can play the 4-3. Is he elite? He thinks so based on reports of what he’ll be asking. Sooner or later, we have to get a stud LB. There are a few available besides Pos.
The pack may have to let Barnett go. Leber is available. Tulloch would be a great 2-3 year plug in but, he may want too much as well. The FO has to get someone or this year’s free agency will be a bust.
That goes for CB as well. We can’t afford Aomugha, or Joseph in my opinion. They are dead set on signing Houston to a long term. Joseph in my opinion, is very good but, we already have an undersized CB in Houston if he’s signed. I like Ike from the Steelers.
Great size, good overall talent, major playoff experience, leader, durable (played all games last 3 years), can be had for less than Joseph.
Expectations don't produce!
The POS
Well he is a Penn St. player, he isn’t that old, my biggest fear is that he has not played in a 4-3 system since Penn St. And I am not so sure he even played in a 4-3 there. I would be happier to see Barnett come to Detroit over Pos just because of his injury concerns, but then again so has Barnett had them same issues. I would rather see some of these UDFA become stars for us rather than pick up some of these more pricey FA’s.
How many lumps you want Doc?
Another LB that'll be up for grabs:
Reports are that the Eagles aren’t gonna try to re-sign LB Stewart Bradley. While he’s not ideal, and not all that exciting, he could be a cheap option if we end up tying up most of our cap room on a CB.
