You can cross linebacker Stephen Nicholas off the list of potential free agent targets for the Detroit Lions. Nicholas has decided to stay in Atlanta going forward, agreeing to a multi-year deal, according to Adam Schefter.

Nicholas and Stephen Tulloch were probably two of the most often mentioned names when fans discussed Lions free agents targets. With such a big need existing at linebacker, the hope all along has been for the Lions to land somebody like Nicholas or Tulloch. Nicholas is off the list, but the Lions are reportedly in pursuit of Tulloch and may have already made an offer.
