A rumor popped up on Tuesday about the Detroit Lions possibly getting involved in trying to sign offensive guard Robert Gallery. It didn't make a ton of sense considering the Lions' offensive line is pretty much set, but it was an interesting possibility to think about -- for a day, anyway.
That rumor was officially put to rest today, because Gallery has already found a new team:
Seattle reached agreement with former Raiders guard Robert Gallery on a three-year deal. Gallery and Tom Cable reunited.
Like I said, it was interesting to think about, but the possibility of the Lions landing Gallery never seemed very likely.
