Possible CBs
Hi POD. I havent posted much and I was looking for some help. I think over free agency we should get 1 corner. I think Chris Carr, Antonio Cromartie, Jonathan Joseph, Carlos Rogers, Josh Wilson, and Eric Wright are quality corners. The question I have is which of these do you guys think wed be able to aquire? I dont really know how much money we can spend or how much these players would want. Also I saw Ellis Hobbs and William Gay are free agents. How have they done recently and would either of them be worth pursuing?

Wilson is signed
with that signing, it may be a lot harder to get Carr now. Haven’t heard anything on Rogers. If we lose out to JJ, he could be a good plan B IMO

Last resort: Mayhew trade for Terrence Newman?
He’s not much of a tackler but he’s a quality veteran that may be another cap casualty for Dallas (but not w/o some compensation like a 7th round pick) and he could be a solid stopgap for a year or so until they draft a young stud CB.

Newman
might be a good pickup for a 7th round pick, Chances are he would be better than most 7th round corners out there

Hoping Joseph or Cromartie comes to town
I think either of those guys would make a big impact from day one for us. I’d be down with Rodgers or Carr as well, but, much like Chris Houston, they’re guys that I don’t see as being the no. 1 CB on a SB contending team.
I think Richard Marshall is our best bet
He’s young, and he is a great tackler at CB. I think with our d-line, he could really thrive.
Carr coule be easier to get than you think
The Ravens freed up a ton of money by cutting players and rumors are that they are making a strong play for Nnamdi Asomugha. If they get Asomugha then Carr might slip through the cracks because the Ravens might go with Asomugha and Jimmy Smith as their starters.
I think Carr is over rated
Always have. I would rather have Marshall than Carr
