You can officially cross cornerback Johnathan Joseph off your wish list. He agreed to a five-year deal with the Houston Texans tonight, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The thinking was that Joseph would wait to make a move until after Asomugha's deal was complete since it was expected to set the market for cornerbacks. Joseph must have gotten sick of waiting, and the Texans must have realized that Asomugha wasn't coming to Houston.

Joseph was linked to the Detroit Lions on numerous occasions, so this is certainly a bit disappointing. The hope was he would be signed and fill the Lions' need at cornerback, but now the team will have to look elsewhere.
