DETROIT - AUGUST 28: Eric Wright #21 of the Cleveland Browns returns a fumble for a touchdown during the first quarter while playing the Detroit Lions in a preseason game on August 28 2010 at Ford Field in Detroit Michigan. (Photo by Gregory Shamus/Getty Images)
After a pretty eventful Thursday, Friday arrived with news of Eric Wright accepting an offer to join the Detroit Lions. Will any other free agents accept an offer with the Lions today? The hope is Stephen Tulloch will decide to jump at the chance to play in Detroit, or at the very least Nick Barnett will be released and get in touch with the Lions.
With signings finally allowed to happen at 6 p.m. today, I would anticipate another hectic day in the world of NFL free agency. Teams will continue to get their rosters ready for camp and continue fine-tuning them to their liking. There are still some big names out there (Nnamdi Asomugha, for example), so it should be interesting to see what happens today.
