The Nnamdi Asomugha sweepstakes has closed with a shocker. He is headed to the Philadelphia Eagles, as first reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Here are the details of the contract:

Shortly after the news broke the Eagles confirmed they have signed Asomugha to a five-year deal. This means that for the foreseeable future, the Eagles' cornerbacks will be Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Nnamdi Asomugha. Talk about the rich getting richer.

Throughout the last few days it looked like the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys or even the Oakland Raiders would land Asomugha.
