Nnamdi: For Realz This Time!!!

jokes 'n jokes.

But seriously, I got two things brimming on my mind that I'd like some POD feedback on:

1. Does anyone remember the story behind us pursuing Chris Carr before last season? I'm curious and interested in whether the FO is more interested in him now that he proved he can play at a high level or whether they have less interest given the new $ he will commanding...any thoughts?

2. Avril recently was saying that he had the mindset that the D-line was the leader of the team and they set the tone for the rest. It got me thinking about the leadership on the o-line.

I have some sneaking suspicions that a few of them lack that extra gear (of will power) at times. I thought it was funny that the week Dom said he had enough of being a "punk," the o-line went on a streak and opened nice holes...If there's truth to this, how do you think they will react next year?

Will Backus continue to play at such a high level (especially being in a contract year)? Will Dom realize he's on extremely thin ice regarding his future of the team and go balls out - or has he already maxed his ability, and no amount of determination will make a diff? Peterman is a guy that I believe could really turn it on - if healthy - and be one of the better ones out there. Same goes for Gosder. Last, but not least - Sims was a great addition. I don't see him having much of a higher ceiling, but if he plays with the same determination as last year, I'll excuse his slightly below average run blocking because of the job he's doing keeping Staff upright!
