Monday Open Thread - Lions Roster In Place?

Nick Fairley smiles just like all Lions fans were doing after the moves Martin Mayhew made this past week.

After a flurry of activity over the weekend, it appears the Detroit Lions are ready to move forward without any more major roster moves. Aside from re-signing Cliff Avril, not much work is left to be done. Every position on offense has good depth, and after some great signings, the same can really be said about every position on defense.

I'm sure Martin Mayhew will continue to scour the waiver wire and look for possible trades (he did trade for Lawrence Jackson and Alphonso Smith late in the offseason last year, after all), but for the most part the 2011 Lions appear to be ready to go. Now we can start to focus more on training camp battles and the upcoming preseason and less on roster moves.

In any case, I figured I would put up an open thread for at least one more day since other teams will continue to make moves on Monday. As time goes by the signings will get less and less newsworthy, but I imagine you all will have a lot to talk about as the week gets started.

As always, enjoy and Go Lions.
