At one point yesterday it appeared that the Detroit Lions had signed offensive tackle Tony Moll. He was listed as being signed in the Lions' transaction report, and wide receiver Dominique Barnes was listed as being released to make room for Moll.
As we later found out, Moll had not been signed and Barnes had not been released. The moves were listed by mistake, as Moll merely worked out for the Lions.
There were rumors that the Lions signed OT Tony Moll. He worked out for them, but didn't sign a contract.less than a minute ago via TweetDeck

At first I was thinking the Lions' transaction report simply jumped the gun and a move to sign Moll was coming at some point, but that's not the case. Moll actually signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars today, meaning he is no longer a free agent and will not be joining the Lions.
