Sorry to pick on Cris Carter...

but it's worth noting a few interesting statistics. 

Through his first four years in the league, Calvin had: 270 REC, 33 TD, 4191 YDS

Through his first four years in the league, Carter had: 116 REC, 22 TD, 1813 YDS

To   compare,  an  average   #2,   Nate Burleson had: 145 REC, 14 TD, 1981 YDS

I'm not trying to take away from Carter's impressive career accomplishments, but he doesn't seem to appreciate any talent other than his own. Calvin Johnson is definitely capable of having production at or above Carter's level.

Those first years, Carter was no more than an average second option.
