Detroit Lions Training Camp: Chris Houston, Corey Williams Return To Practice
- Originally there wasn't a practice scheduled for Thursday, but the Detroit Lions announced that they will hold one at 10:15 a.m. It will be open to the public.
- CB Chris Houston and DT Corey Williams returned to practice after dealing with injuries earlier this week. CB Eric Wright, on the other hand, was out.
- S John Wendling missed practice and had his right leg wrapped.
- WR Titus Young and WR Demario Ballard once again missed practice.
- Jim Schwartz ordered the team to run gassers after a "tussle" between Kyle Vanden Bosch and Corey Hilliard set off a bit of a brawl. Schwartz had this to say about the incident:
"We had a little too much energy during practice,'' Schwartz said. "We needed to expel it somehow so we ran for a little bit and then we got back to work. It was probably a good time to do it. It was about as hot as we can get up here and we took advantage of it."
A separate "scuffle" happened after Matt Clapp had what Chris McCosky described as a cheap shot on Willie Young. - TE Tony Scheffler had to leave practice and get stitches after cutting the webbing between two of his fingers. Ouch.

The Webbing between his finers!
Sheffler probably tried to catch a bullet from Stafford and it got him between the fingers

Wow, that is just great stuff there, rames
It was funny watching Corey just mow down Dom on that trap, Corey got Dom and the DT. Everybody actually looked pretty good, except on that last run with Jahvid. Watch Peterman, he gets his head up too early and too high and that dt just bulldozes him back into Jahvid. Which was too bad, Corey had a lane opened up on the weak side edge and was set up perfect to seal the inside pursuit.

Who is number 88?
I have looked on the roster to find nothing.
He is getting owned on one play (playing RG) and completely whiffing on another play (where he pulls to the LT side and completely misses his block.
Anyone know who that guy is?
I like Wins, Cheese and I also Like Cookies. If you don't. Wow. :P

I just watched again...Its Petey 66
The play he gets ‘owned’ is the play he get his head up too early…the whiff in space is Petey again, this time rolling out to the weakside while the rest downblock on Calvins TD

A paper cut between your fingers hurts like hell.
I can’t imagine having to get stitches there. Ouch.

I got to go to Practice today,
The “Tussle” was definitely the highlight.
I’ll post pictures when I finally get them on the computer.

I split the webbing between my index and middle finger
Did it with a bread knife. As bad as that shit hurt it was a walk in the park compared to the shot they injected into the open wound to deaden it before the stitches. Still hurt like hell. Hope scheff didn’t cut it as bad as I did or he might be out for a week or two

miss a week or two
of the preseason or miss a couple weeks of the regular season? I’d much rather have him available week one against Tampa than have him in for a quarter or more against the Browns in the second week of the preseason.
Saw on twitter that Matt Clapp had to get stitches on his nose from something that happened in practice. Looks like he and Big Willie didn’t see eye to eye. Fun, fun, fun!

I would be a scared dude having Bosch
pissed enough to come after me in practice. We talkin bout practice man, not the game, not the game, but practice man.
Maybe Sheffler had to have those stitches
To heal the wounds created by adding those wolverine claws!!

Go Lions!
