- In case you missed it last night, check out the hilarious picture of Detroit Lions head coach Jim Schwartz that CBS dug up:
- Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh said during an interview on CBS last night that last year the defense wanted to earn respect. He thinks the Lions accomplished that goal, and now they are out to strike fear into opposing offenses.
- Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio thinks Suh could receive a fine for the punch he threw at New England Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins, who set off the mini-scrum by grabbing a hold of Lawrence Jackson's facemask.
- Former Lions linebacker Zack Follett had this to say after last night's game: "Lions looked like a super bowl contender.. I know it's only preseason.. Lord keep them healthy."
Adam Schefter reports that the NFL isn't going to suspend Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib. There was a chance he was going to be suspended for the season opener against the Lions because of off the field issues, but Roger Goodell decided against it.
