When I read today that Fairley was down in Charlotte visiting Dr. Anderson my heart sunk. I saw Fairley as kind of a wild card that could put us over the top but also wasn't a player that we needed to be successful for us to be strong at that position. I see Tulloch as someone who the LB core is needing to have a good year, but the D-line should have a stellar season with or without Fairley. Still I can't stop the panic from creeping in. It's more than Fairley, it's that snake bitten stigma starting already after a few practices and before the first pre-season game. It's an injury to our 1st round pick that we were so lucky to have fall in our lap who now may or may not be out when the season starts. The koolaid has been so potent this off season that this is more then I can stomach. Couple that with the Follet news and this week hasn't given me the optimism that last weeks signings did.
Am I and a lot of us over reacting, is this nothing? Is this something that will set him back and combined with the lack of off-season workouts result in an underwhelming first year? Has Suh's success raised expectations to a level no man could reach?
