Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas was not at practice on Thursday, and he did not practice on Friday, either. The reason for him sitting the last two sessions out is because he had minor surgery on his right ring finger. The surgery was done to remove a screw from a previous procedure.
Even though he just had surgery, Delmas is able to practice, but the Lions are holding him out to make sure an infection doesn't happen.
Louis Delmas isnt practicing today after having a screw removed from his finger. Jim Schwartz said not an issue, just cant sweat on it yet
It's expected that Delmas will start practicing again soon.
