UPDATE: The Lions have informed me that Moll has not been signed and Barnes has not been released. Apparently these moves were listed by mistake in the transaction report.

The Detroit Lions have made quite a few roster moves in the last two days, and they were especially busy this morning. As you all likely know by now, the Lions signed running backs Jerome Harrison and Mike Bell. To make room on the roster for them, they released fullback Preston Dial and waived/injured cornerback Maurice Leggett.
In addition to those moves, the Lions also signed offensive tackle Tony Moll on Tuesday. Moll last played for the Baltimore Ravens and appeared in all 16 games last season. He made three starts for the Ravens, and earlier in his career he started in 18 games over three seasons for the Green Bay Packers.
To open a spot up for Moll on the roster, the Lions released wide receiver Dominique Barnes, who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent from Youngstown State.
On Monday, the Lions signed defensive end Keyunta Dawson and defensive tackle Montavious Stanley. They also claimed linebacker Cody Brown and released defensive end Greg Banks, linebacker Daunte Akra and cornerback Jamal Robinson.
