Schwartz Leads ALL NFL Coaches in ESPN's Approval Rating

Here's the link

Just another one of ESPN's silly statistics, but I'll take it. Looks like other fans around the country have taken notice of the great job done by Schwartz and the rest of the coaching staff. It's been quite the experience to see all the love the Lions have gotten so far this year. I can't seem to remember the last time the media talked about Detroit as a football contender.

Anyway, pretty cool. just thought I'd share.

Cool

He deserves it. While I don’t agree with everything he does (mainly his conservatism), I agree with most and I love how active he is and how he gets the team’s buy in. That’s what we’ve needed for so long now.

He's hard to disapprove of

because he almost comes off as emotionless (much like Bill Belichick) to the media. It’s difficult in that he doesn’t make any major mistakes on the field even though many would like to see him risk more.

The future is bright.

That Ihave to disagree ..

While he does plan like Belichick and is secretive … Our coach shows emotion many times …

I see him joking .. laughing .. fist pumping .. and he even low fived Stafford after the 1st touchdown …

The reverse is also true

Hearing him talk about Gosder in the press conference after the game clues you in on how he feels about mental miscues. I’m glad he publicly expressed his disapproval.

This is clearly not a viable statistic

Mike Shanahan is at more that 0%

Tomlin at 36%

He has 2 superbowl apperances in 3 yrs and won one of them. He’s 43-21 in 4yrs and after one bad loss they are ready to bring back Cowher? Silly Steelers fans are a bit unrealistic, I should know I am married to one. I told her if we had that kind of record over the next 3 years I would name my next kid after Schwartz.

I thought these ratings were really fairly specific to the previous game.

I can’t speak for your wife, but head over to BTSC and ask if anyone over there wants to dump Tomlin. They’ll laugh you off the internet.

Looks like its for this season

Which would encompass just this first game so far.

Asshole bears fans must have circulated this on their MSBs

’cause schwartz went down 9% in 1000 votes and lovie jumped way up to the top. retards.

by haywood on Sep 14, 2011 12:56 PM EDT reply actions

Lovie to the top???!?!?

you got to be kidding me. Just wow. I will laugh sooo hard when all these pundits who now putting the Bears near the top 5 in team ranking because of one win will turn a full 180 when they get exposed on MNF (if not earlier!)

Hell took me a while to even see the vote button, they need a better interface

So yeah I voted for Schwartzy, and against Lovie. Don’t worry the Bears fans will feel the angst when teh Saints beat them this week.

Yes Indeed

Brees will be out to put up 350 on them! And the Saints a re decent on D if they get to blitz all the time. They coudln’t do that against Rogers – they can against Cuntler.

9 Wins in a Row

Will definitely get the fans attention. I know 4 of them were in preseason, but they were still wins. I cannot remember the last time the Lions won 9 in a row. Does anyone know if we have EVER done that before? We are heading in the right direction for sure. What an exciting time to be a Lions fan.

I'm only counting it as 5 in a row personally

But it’s still a great feeling.

Shows you what a "football town Detroit really is....

Here are the Tigers ripping it up and Verlander having one of the best seasons EVER, nearly all the talk is of the lIONS. I love my Tigers, but I have not been to a baseball blog in nearly a week and not one day go buy w/o the pod for me. By far the best Lions blog out there. Props to Sean.
