Kevin Williams will play against the Lions
The NFL Trancation report announced today...
Pat Williams (DT) suspended (2 games (nfl substance abuse policy)).
Kevin Williams (DT) suspended (2 games (nfl substance abuse policy)).
Pat Williams left the Vikings so we do not have to worry about him in this, but now it appears that Kevin Williams will be back from his suspension in time to play the Lions. This represents a softening of the previously discussed suspension of 4 games for the role of Williams in the Starcaps controversy and the subsequent legal battles. While the presence of Williams will help the Vikings, I do not feel it is enough to keep the Lions from taking them behind the woodshed in the third game of the season.

The Vikings will look really bad in those first two games.
They’ll look pretty bad against us too.
NO HOMO!!!!!!!
2 or 3 years ago this would have made a difference to me.
Today, not so much. It’ll be that much harder, but Kevin Williams isn’t the guy he used to be.

interesting fact
If he has just taken his punishment back them, he would have lost about 1/4 of the money he is going to lose now. I believe he is going to be fined 4 games (suspended for 2) worth of salary which is about 1.5 million!
All that fighting ended up costing him over a million plus the lawyer fees! sometimes it just better to take the punishment when it is first presented.

Yeah, WIlliams is not happy about it at all...
I never met him, but he was family to me... R.I.P. Tom Kowalski We will all miss you.
He will be playing injured all season
and w/o Pat to take up the double team. I am not worried at all be Kevin. Hell at this point in his career, Raiola can even block him.

I think the Vikes
Are going to miss Edwards on the outside more than either Williams. And Jarrod Allen is in for a long season of not only having a LT in his face but a TE chip blocking him as well.
