Jeff Fisher Hired As St. Louis Rams Head Coach

After taking some time to decide between multiple opportunities to return to the NFL, former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher decided today to accept the head coaching position with the St. Louis Rams. Fisher chose the Rams over the Miami Dolphins, deciding to go to a team where he will have control over personnel decisions, the No. 2 pick in this year's draft and a potential franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford.

Fisher had spent a lot of time around the Lions this past season since his son worked as a defensive assistant. Fisher is also good friends with Jim Schwartz, as the two coached together in Tennessee. Now they will get to square off as head coaches, as noted by Paula Pasche on Twitter.

St. Louis play at Ford Field in 2012. Gee, any good storyline come to mind?

The Rams game is one of several intriguing matchups on the Lions schedule for 2012 now that Fisher is St. Louis' head coach.

To lay the smack down on Jeff Fisher…Like they say " if you can’t beat them join them, 12 years later. "

I don't get all the fuss over him

What has he ever won? There is a lot of people talking about Jeff as if he has won multiple super bowls. My in-laws have season tickets to the Titans and I go to a few games every year. Overall he was an ok coach, but nothing too special imo.

Dungy, Cowher, and Gruden are comfy.

Fisher is one of the only guys out there who isn’t a Coord. looking for his first coaching gig.

I agree, nothing special- but I think teams like the Rams feel like it’s slim pickings out there in the Coach market, so they went with Fisher.

Well I hope it works out for the poor ol Lambs

Always will have a soft spot in my heart for them. I wish they would go back to the White and Blues, they might actually win again.
