List Of Detroit Lions' 2012 Opponents
The schedule for the Detroit Lions and the rest of the NFL won't be released until April. We do already know which teams are on the Lions' schedule for next season, though. Because the NFL schedule is based on a rotation and matchups related to how the standings shake out, the Lions' list of opponents was locked into place after Sunday's games. Here they are:
Home: Packers, Vikings, Bears, Rams, Seahawks, Texans, Colts, Falcons
Away: Packers, Vikings, Bears, Cardinals, 49ers, Jaguars, Titans, Eagles
The Lions will take on the NFC West and AFC South in 2012, in addition to the NFC North teams home and away. They will also take on the Falcons and Eagles since the Lions came in second in the NFC North. The Falcons and Eagles finished second in the NFC South and NFC East, respectively, which is why the Lions drew them for next season.
For more analysis on the schedule, check out my post from Saturday.

When you look at advertising dollars
Corporations may feel they would be (lucky) to (pay a ton) for the Colts. The state of Texas will already have one team playing on T-Day.

Took me a minute, but I got it lol
well played and steathly
Happier than a pig in shit that I was wrong about Matthew Stafford since 2009!
Go Lions, Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons!
I know they made that change to the tv scheduling
with regards to afc games having to be on cbs and nfc on fox so I wonder if that might throw a curveball into this.
all I know is I am sick of the Thanksgiving schedule for us being AFC/GB/AFC/GB/AFC/GB. if the league wants GB to have a game, then just put them in the night game.
Totally off topic and COMPLETELY EXPECTED
Knew this was gonna happen but still pisses me off. I haven’t seen a single article or press coverage on the mysterious third quarter back this year to break 5000 yards. Can’t get any love. Hope we win by any means possible Saturday. Everyone has this written off as a saints win they’ve totally forgotten the damn seahawks knocked them out first round last year. Let’s do it again.

I think there were actually four.
Brees, Rodgers, Brady?
Fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings.
Nevermind
I guess the one of four stat that I saw with Brady must have included Marino.
Fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Red Wings.
Well
Brees did it twice, so you’re not completely wrong.

That's what happens when you're only third man down.
Might have gotten more play if the Lions had beaten the Packers instead of crapping out.
No slogans. Just win!!!
thats a tough road to
The play offs next year. We are gonna need a real run game.

Interesting
At first glance it certainly looks like a favorable schedule. Maybe even a little less challenging than this year. I can’t wait to see how Mayhew and Co. improve upon a successful season.

you thinking of going up to the game?
if so good luck :) I’d consider it, but I don’t have a group to go with and not sure I’m willing to risk dealing with Philly fans…. they are pretty much the worst across the board in my experience. As a Braves and Caps fan I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with them.
Im in Maryland too
Not going to Philly though. There fans are insane, and I dont feel like kicking some drunk assholes tail for a football team.

Random Question guys
Spags just got fired from the Rams, Do you think Gunny will be back and i dont think we would have a shot with spags but its an interesting question cause we do have a young defense

wow, no cowboys?
It seems like we always play the cowboys. I guess since the eagles whipped their asses and came out in second place is the reason we get them over the girls.
I watch the Detroit Lions and I....
