Around SBN: Win or Lose, Boston Celtics' New Big 3 Era A Success

Embracing the underdog role.

Whether it's been the constant knock on Detroit for being the "bad boys" of the NFL or Matthew Stafford being overlooked all season, the Lions have been the underdog nearly all year. All we hear is the talk about Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Tebow, or Newton. I have not been able to figure out why none of these so called "experts" seem to have never even heard of Stafford before. Here the guy is having one of the ALL TIME great seasons and if your not a Lion's fan you probably have no idea. The fact is that Matt is quickly becoming the next elite NFL quarterback. Haters can say what they want. Neither Rodgers or Brees played at this level this early in their careers. They were not even close. Same goes with players like Elway, Aikman, Favre and others. Wait I forgot, Stafford's got CJ to throw the ball to. That does not seem to hurt Joe Montana's image though. All he had was some dude named Jerry fucking Rice. Not so long ago a smashmouth defense was celebrated. Hell it was even revered. Joe Greene, Lawrenve Taylor, Ronnie Lott, and many others are considered among the best defenders to ever play the game. Even today fans speak of them as legends. (and rightfully so.) Nowadays, players and teams of this nature are considered to be "dirty " players by the league. If I had it my way the bad boys would have never left Detroit in the first place. Detroit is a gritty city. Detroit is hardcore. Tell me why shouldn't our Lions be?

whoops

Stupid droid, but Detroit is gritty, just watch hard core pawn for proof. We’ve been under dogs all year, I know this will be a up hill game, and are chances are low but how sweet would it be to walk into NO and stick it to the Saints and the NFL. Roger would never let that happen though.

Its the only thing as Detroiters we can do...be the underdog

The Pistons all those years also seemed to be underdogs. Even though they were pretty much controlling the Eastern Conference for those 4 -5 years.

Anyway, from everyone I talk to who isn’t a Lions fan, they all point to the fact that we have Megatron and that is the only way Stafford is putting up these numbers. What were Megatron’s stats last year? Just by looking at them, his stats the past four years he was a good QB but he was never the number one receiver in the game. Like he is this year. And I think we have to look towards the QB throwing him the ball. First full season healthy, 23 years old.

Also please do not watch Hardcore Pawn, that shit is fake and kind of scripted if you ask me.
