Honestly
What’s the point of a post like this?
Pride of Detroit, for Lions fans | SB Nation Detroit, for Detroit-area sports fans
Was about to say the same thing.
Should be deleted under the “dumb post made under emotional duress” category.

Obligatory statement about being a huge Lions fan.
I have a twitter: Follow Me
well
Smith and Berry did suck all game. We just need to draft a corner in the first three rounds or get someone new.

I'm really ticked off that they kept throwing the ball
I understand the Lions have a potent offense and you have to “run it up” on them because you never know what could happen against the Lions Offense. But fuck, they game was pretty much out of hand at the end of the fourth, and they kept up the pressure throwing the ball.
I dis agree
If we wanted to run up the score we would have tried to run it in on first and goal from the 1 with 2 mins. remaining
Sean Payton has a killer instinct and he believes in not allowing any chance a team comes back no matter what
Your team was still playing with almost 4 mins left and down by 10
A 10 point lead is not a guarenteed win instead of the last pick what if the Lions would have scored then had a successful on side kick it’s still game on
Better to keep scoring then trying to protect a lead

I don't think they ran it up at all.
The Lions set an NFL record for the number of times they came back from a 17+ point deficit to win. I am pretty sure that Sean Payton knew that. He didn’t run the score up, he just kept his foot on the gas until the win was assured. I would have expected the Lions to do the same if the situation were reversed. Heck, I remember games against KC, Denver, and San Diego where the Lions did worse to their opponents.
