Just as they did for their big home games last year, the Detroit Lions are going to make standing room only tickets available for this year's game against the Green Bay Packers. In 2011, the Lions sold 2,000 standing room only tickets to the Monday night game against the Chicago Bears, and later in the season they sold 1,500 SRO tickets to the Thanksgiving matchup with the Packers. There will once again be 1,500 SRO tickets available for this year's Packers game.
Here are the details on how you can get the tickets:
The Detroit Lions announced today that 1,500 Standing Room Only tickets for their game against the Green Bay Packers November 18 will go on sale Monday, October 22 at Noon ET.
Standing Room Only tickets will be sold on a cash-only basis and exclusively available at the Ford Field Box Office.
Tickets are $55 each with a limit of four per transaction and customer.
I'm guessing the reason the tickets are being sold only at Ford Field is to make sure Packers fans don't buy them all up. That's probably a good idea, as having a big home-field advantage is very important in games like this.
