Discuss the Mike Thomas Trade

I'm sure most of you have heard by now. If not, linky.

I'd like POD to sound off on this trade.

For me, I'm torn. On one hand, we now have a #4 WR to use in passing formations. Scheffler had been utilized most recently with Burleson out. Now we replace him with a bit more speed. On the other hand, I think we have a much more glaring need in the secondary. Thomas' production has dropped significantly since signing a big contract with the Jags. Plus he's know for dropping punt/kick offs so seeing him as a replacement for Logan seems out of the idea. And I don't see us giving up a mid-rounder for someone just to get into the Jags' playbook this Sunday.

So what is it? Why did we opt to trade for a WR instead of a safety or CB? I'm a bit confused and honestly think we gave up WAY too much if indeed a mid-round pick was given to Jacksonville.

What does everyone think?
