Jerome Harrison Update

I remember not too long ago, someone asking the status of Jerome Harrison. Harrison, if you recall, was supposed to be traded back to the Philadelphia Eagles from the Lions in exchange for Ronnie Brown. That trade ultimately fell through due to Harrison failing a physical, where the examining doctor found a brain tumor. More after the jump.

Well, I was reading an article about Josh Cribbs' family wanting him to retire, and this is what he had to say in the article,

As he prepares to play against the New York Giants on Sunday, his wife Maria wants him to take additional steps to ensure he is sincerely OK.

"She wants me to be seen by another specialist," he said. "She wants me to get a CAT scan, especially with what happened to [former Browns running back Jerome Harrison, who had a brain tumor removed]. I still go over to his house every now and then and talk to him. He’s doing pretty bad. He’s in and out of the hospital with seizures. They just don’t want the same thing to happen to me."

This is very unfortunate and shows how fragile life is. Hopefully we can end this season on a high note in his honor.
