Hybrid Defense 2013 ?

The current Lions roster has a lot of talent across the defensive front but i think the lions could possibly switch to a 3-4 hybrid and be the best defense in the NFL. Our base 4-3 would still be the primary base defense but on occasion we could bring out the 3-4. If Suh and Fairly playing the defensive end positions and Sammie Lee Hill playing the Nose. Levy and Tulloch will be our inside backers and Avril with our 1st round pick Damontre Moore or maybe even Jarvis Jones on the outside ? This defense will be the most devastating EVER ! But will it work ?

Cons

- Are Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley patient enough to play the 3-4 ?

- Is Sammie Lee Hill capable of becoming the nose tackle who will take double teams every play ?

- Will Cliff Avril or Deandre Levy return to the Lions next year?

- Will we need a new Defensive coordinator to run the 3-4 ?

Pros

- Devastating Pass Rush

- Less pressure on DB's

- A ton of takeaways

- Houston Like Defense

Our 4-3 Base D would be Moore/Jones and Avril on the ends. Suh and Fairley in the midlle, Levy and Travis Lewis

outside with Tulloch inside
