Here are three mock draft scenarios that could be interesting discussion for the Pride of Detroit community. This year's cb/s class is really weak, and I don't see us reaching for Milliner with our first pick. Lions could decide to make secondary additions in free agency (doubt it will happen if we don't resign Stafford or Suh to longer contracts). But for the most part I think these cover some problem areas and add to positions of strength for the team.
Scenario 1 -Best player available
Round 1
Pick 5: Demontre Moore- DE Texas A&M
Round 2
Pick 37: Zach Ertz- TE Stanford
Round 3
Pick 67: Desmond Trufant- CB Washington
Trade back into the 3rd: Marcus Lattimore- RB S. Carolina
(I know Lattimore is "injury prone" but Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson came back from similar injuries, so with rehab and a long recovery time, he could be that feature back that we have been hoping to have and a good complement to Leshoure and Bell. Plus he would be for relatively cheap in the long run.)
Scenario 2 (my personal favorite)
Pick 5: Manti Teo- LB Notre Dame
Round 2
Pick 37: Cornellius "Tank" Carridine- DE Florida State
Round 3
Pick 67: Justin Pugh- OT Syracuse, Trade back in for Devonte Holloman- S South Carolina
Scenario 3
Round 1
Pick 5: Luke Joeckel- OT Texas A&M (not really a "need" if we keep Backus back for another year, but could be good with Reiff)
Round 2
Pick 37: Matt Elam- S Florida or Eric Reid- S LSU
Round 3
Pick 67: Alex Okafor : DE Texas
