Lions Notes: Aaron Rodgers Praises Matthew Stafford
- Aaron Rodgers had a lot of praise for Matthew Stafford when asked about him last week.
- Kurt Warner doesn't think we've seen Stafford's best play on the field yet, which is a scary thought for opposing defenses.
- Amari Spievey apparently played with a concussion for part of the playoff game against the New Orleans Saints.
- As expected, the Bears "don't have any intention of letting Matt (Forte) hit the open market."
- Apparently Detroit is one of the cities under consideration for a team in the Spring Professional Football League, which is in the planning stages.
- When the New York Giants won the Super Bowl last week, they became the first 9-7 team to win it all in NFL history.
- Could the NFL stop using Roman numerals for the Super Bowl in a few years? Considering Super Bowl 50 would be called "Super Bowl L," it could happen.
- Deadspin has an interesting look at if the success of NFL challenges depends on which network is broadcasting the game.
- SB Nation's Joel Thorman went behind the scenes of the NFL Honors show last week.

Im curious about this SPFL league
Any more football in michigan would be great though i hope it survives i mean we have been through the AFL, XFL, UFL, USFL, and then you have the more stable markets in the CFL, NFL, and NFL Europe. Hopefully they follow what they say and get it right.

Damn.
I didn’t even know Spievey was concussed during the game. Part of me wants to be upset that he didn’t tell anyone, but part of me also respects the gladiator mentality he showed by shrugging it off, which means that the whole of me doesn’t know what the hell to think.
What you might consider is that if Spievey was suffering the effects of a concussion, his play might have been off too.
Better to come out and not hurt yourself or the team. It’s not as if the game ended up very close.
No slogans. Just win!!!

Most people are out of it as soon as it happens. I had two on two different occasions and didn’t know. Other people need to see it and make that decision for them

I'm not interested in Aaron Rodgers' praise for Stafford right now.
I want to hear it after the Lions beat Rodgers on the field.
