The Oakland Press is reporting that former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders has filed for divorce from his wife, Lauren Campbell-Sanders. Campbell-Sanders is an anchor for WDIV (Channel 4) in Detroit and has been married to Barry Sanders for 10 years. Here's more from The Oakland Press:

Sanders said in the document that there has been a breakdown in the marital relationship and no reasonable likelihood that the marriage can be preserved.

Sanders and his wife have three kids. Barry James Sanders, who is headed to Stanford later this year to play college football, is not one of them. His mother is Aletha House, who had the future Cardinal running back in a previous relationship with Sanders.

According to the report, Sanders is "seeking that the parties be awarded joint custody of their children."
