Snipers at the SuperBowl
Some photos with no backstory are making the rounds, showing what appears to be an Indianapolis police sniper checking out his post in the rafters of Lucas Oil Stadium in the hours or days before the Super Bowl, a post that would be manned when the game began. Yes, we know there's nothing surprising about trained marksmen working the biggest sporting event of the year. We also know it's pretty damn cool to see what the Super Bowl snipers are working with.

Glad I decided to take a step back before my spotter snapped the photo.
It's turkey, Lions and Macy's. Any other combination is just ludicrous.

Thats an awesome picture!
Thanks for sharing that. I knew about the snipers but never stopped to think of where they were posted.

Came in here to post the same thing
At every game you can spot a few guys in each corner dressed in all black.

You are also in the dark on the update released yesterday
The stadium was not yet open when the pics were taken and the rifle never had a round in it that day. ONLY Binoculars were used for observation during the game and NOT the rifle!! It was only put into position to get the pictures of the form fit and function of the DCLW Tripod.

If you are in an elevator and there is a button marked "Laser Bay Two"... You push that button.
I was there
The also had snipers on the nearby rooftops. You could see them from the second floor concourse. They had snipers and spotters together in little tents on the buildings by the Superbowl plaza. Pretty cool to check out, not someone to piss off.
