The biggest NFL news so far today is Calvin Johnson's new contract. He has been trending on Twitter ever since the news broke, and there was even a "#CalvinJohnsonIpodPlaylist" hashtag trending (Justin Durant and some other Detroit Lions players were having fun with the news about Johnson's new contract).
The nice thing about Twitter is that we can get the reaction of athletes to stories as soon as they break, and quite a few Lions players shared their thoughts on Johnson's new contract. Here are just a few of the tweets:
Congrats to @Bigplaycj and the lions. Couldn't happen to a better guy! Glad to have him back for a while!
