The 2012 NFL Draft is exactly one month away. It's hard to believe that the offseason is already this far along, partly because there hasn't been a ton of focus on the draft. With the Detroit Lions not picking until 23rd overall in the first round, the draft hasn't generated nearly as much discussion as usual. This is a good thing, of course, because the Lions had a successful enough season to pick later on in the first round and to lessen the perceived importance of the event.
As April nears and draft coverage really starts to ramp up, one of the biggest question marks for the Lions is what position they will target with the 23rd pick. In the past, we've had a pretty good idea of what position the Lions were focusing on, but as last year showed, the later you pick, the more uncertain things become. While the Lions have a few big needs that stand out this year, that doesn't always mean they will be addressed in the first round, adding to the uncertainty surrounding the 23rd overall pick.
Exactly a month before the first round of the draft, which position do you think the Lions should target with the 23rd pick, or do you think the Lions should try to move out of that slot? Vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
