I have been thinking a ton about what the lions should do in this years draft because this year is crucial to team development and getting over the hurdle. Especially with the Saints hurting this is a tough draft for us. I believe we should trade DT Williams for a 3rd and a 4th or 5th this year. We should restructure Vandenbosch’s contract. Our needs in the draft are Oline and CB. So here are my thoughts on the draft.
1st-Nick Perry or BPA Oline or BPA Secondary
2nd-BPA period!
3rd-CB or S
3rd via Williams trade-BPA LB or Secondary
4th-BPA Oline
5th via Williams trade-BPA Oline
5th-BPA period! someone is gonna slip
6th possibly trade our 7th rounder and a future pick- BPA RB or Oline
7th-BPA period!

Now, I choose not to name players just positions because I have never and will never see Swartz’s and Mayhew’s draft board. But I feel with this strategy our team will have loads of talent and still have efficient and adequate depth.
