The full 2012 NFL Draft order has been announced. The league released all of the compensatory picks for 2012 on Monday, and now the full seven-round order is set.
As mentioned yesterday, the Detroit Lions currently have seven draft picks. Six of them are their own picks and one was acquired in a trade. Here's the breakdown:
- Round 1 - 23rd, 23rd overall
- Round 2 - 22nd, 54th overall
- Round 3 - 22nd, 85th overall
- Round 4 - 22nd, 117th overall
- Round 5 - 23rd, 158th overall
Round 6 - 22nd (forfeited)- Round 7 (from Seattle) - 12th, 219th overall
- Round 7 - 23rd, 230th overall
A couple of notes about the picks listed above ... The Lions' sixth-round pick was forfeited because of the tampering charges involving the Kansas City Chiefs. Because the Lions made the playoffs, they were forced to part ways with their sixth-round selection. As for the extra seventh-round pick, it was acquired in 2010 in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks involving Tyler Polumbus.
