During the 2012 NFL Combine, each team had the chance to meet with up to 60 players. While the meetings only lasted 15 or so minutes, the brief chats served as another chance for teams to continue to get to know potential picks and perhaps better determine who should be brought in for a prospect visit in the next month or so.
I forgot to pass this along last week, but several players confirmed they met with the Lions while in Indianapolis. Here's a rundown of them:
- OG David DeCastro (Stanford)
- DE Melvin Ingram (South Carolina)
- DE Whitney Mercilus (Illinois)
- LB Zach Brown (North Carolina)
- CB Cliff Harris (Oregon)
- CB Dre Kirkpatrick (Alabama)
As always, lists like this don't really reveal anything about the Lions' draft plans or even who they might pick. You should just take this for what it's worth as a list of some of the many players who we know have had contact with the Lions.
