It's pretty amazing to see how much the focus of NFL coverage has shifted in the last 48 hours. At the start of the week, all anybody could talk about was the New Orleans Saints bounty program and the controversy surrounding it. Now, however, all eyes are on Peyton Manning. The Colts released him on Wednesday, ending his 14-year stay in Indianapolis.
What a great qb, leader, and face of the franchise Peyton has been. We are all truly lucky to have watched him. Great things to come for him— Matthew Stafford (@Staff_9) March 7, 2012
I've played against Peyton Manning twice a year my 1st 5 seasons in the NFL. To see him on another team next season should interesting.— Stephen Tulloch (@stephentulloch) March 7, 2012
Now the big question is where Manning will land next. It will certainly be interesting to see, because if he can play like he did before his neck injury, whichever team lands him will instantly be in the Super Bowl conversation.
