You can go ahead and add another defensive player to the list of pre-draft visits for the Detroit Lions. They have scheduled a visit with West Virginia cornerback Keith Tandy, according to Aaron Wilson. Dave Birkett reports that the visit will take place on Friday and Saturday.
Per Wilson, Tandy was not invited to the NFL Combine, but he is now drawing "heavy interest" from around the league. In addition to the Lions, Tandy plans to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts. Also, he has private workouts set up with the Steelers, Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins.
As pointed out by Birkett, the Lions have a connection to Tandy. Former Lions defensive assistant Daron Roberts joined the West Virginia coaching staff last year. Roberts didn't originally start off as the cornerbacks coach, but that is now his role at WVU.
