Claiborne or bust??

So I have been thinking over this whole draft process for quite sometime now. Im back and forth, in my mind, trade Cliff, keep Cliff, trade up, trade down. I've finally narrowed it down to what I THINK the lions should do in this year's draft.

So it's obvious to me that after this season the Lions are going to probably lose C. Williams, and have major resignings to do. So personally I say we keep Avril, and if need be pay him top money. Load the deal for this year, and next to help alleviate cap space a couple years from now when we have to finish paying back Staff and Suh. Just make sure there are stipulations in the contract that he has to perform to get some of those bonuses, and give him less guaranteed.

Then we trade our first and second, (maybe more) and trade up for Claiborne, a sure pick in the draft. That way we have our starting corner for years, with Claiborne and Houston, and probably Berry at nickel (maybe the phonz). Then we also have a proven pass rush that is still coming together.

With some of the age on our team we don't have much time left to make a strong run with these veterans. I don't see much left for KVB, Dom, Backus, and Williams, like I said earlier Williams last year.

So we need to get a solid big corner to hold down our division, with brandon marshall here now. So bottom line, we get the best corner in the draft, give our whole team one more full offseason together, with the core guys, and let the linebackers get a feel for eachother like durant said. Make our cornerbacks a solid group and let our D Line do their thing. We pick up some decent depth at running back in free agency, maybe a Ronnie Brown, or take another late in the draft with a remaining pick. WE have Stafford, Megatron, they will make sure our offense scores regardless.

It's Claiborne or bust! We have too much talent, and leadership! It's time to make our push now. We get a lock down corner, and go for the homerun! I don't think there is a better way, I mean yeah we could go for Gilmore, or even Kirkpatrick or pothead jenkins, but why take risks when we're so close?? Imagine if we would of landed that deal for Patrick Peterson, where would we be? Sitting pretty damn good that's where!

WE need Claiborne! again I empathize Claiborne or bust!!!
