First here is a link to Ryan Broyles career at OK. Nice Lions Logo inserted. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/14919/type/college/ryan-broyles 2nd this OK lost only 3 games in 2011, all 3 games were shoot outs, Ry. Broyles did not play in two of them. 3. The Sooner Defense was outstanding accepting the 3 losses. 3a.All the players taken by the Lions should provide depth and minimally enhance Lions abysmal Special teams of last year. 4. There must have been some serious brain power asserted to see all these guys falling. The Lions front office in scouting Broyels could not help but notice the rest of this team strengths were on the defense. 5. Bringing this group in together, could really add value to the roster as this group could provide a cohesion and psychological advantage for these young players of leaning on one another as former teammates, lets see if the groups cohesion can translate into Lion improvement. 6. Stoops Defenses were always well coached, you dont advance at OK by not playing within the scheme. 7. Defensive backs and LB's at OK have multiple resposibilities under Stoops Venebale defenses, so these guys have been coached to Stop the run, cover the short passes and shut down Tight ends. 8 Gunther is well familiar with the Coaching and schemes in place at OK, his eye on the value of the foundations of these players must have given the room full confidence this draft day could really be special for the Lions.
