So yeah Mikel Leshoure has had quite the day, with the marijuana charges. But no people, he is not freaking Charles Rogers. That is jumping to extreme conclusions due to his mistake.
I'll admit I am scared for the situation and memories of the past come to my mind as well. But when I see comments such as "cut him, trade up to get the bet running back in the draft" or "Leshoure only knows the streets, he won't change" it seems a bit harsh to me. I am not defending his actions, yes he broke the law, yes he will pay the punishment, but is he going to fail in the NFL, be talentless, get fat, lazy and go bankrupt? Probably not, so please stop jumping on your trampolines of conclusions. You can judge the man when those things actually occur.
This is just my opinion, after Stafford I will give players second chances. This is different due to law breaking but I also trust our front office to handle this wisely and do what is necessary. Technically he is still a second string running back, so breathe and have faith in our Lions.
